Job summary

Arc Broward is seeking an ESE Preschool Teacher to join our team and make a difference for children with developmental disabilities and their families. You will provide a nurturing learning environment, supervise and teach, and collaborate on IEP goals with the educational team.

The role includes planning developmentally appropriate lessons, mentoring staff, and joining a comprehensive benefits program that supports professional growth and long-term care. August 2026 start is anticipated.

Qualifications

• In-field Florida teacher’s certificate or letter of eligibility from the Department of Education.
• Experience teaching students with varying exceptionalities.
• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
• Must successfully complete required screening: Level II background check, physical and drug screen.

• Provide a stimulating, nurturing, fun, safe and healthy learning environment.
• Provide children with supervision, care, instruction, and positive engagement.
• Conduct assessments, develop performance summaries and goals.
• Participate as a member of each child’s educational team to develop and implement IEP.

• Lead classroom team through training, modeling, mentoring, and instructing.
