Job summary

TEAM INC is seeking a Teacher’s Aide in Waterbury, CT to support teachers, supervise children, and help maintain a safe, welcoming classroom environment. You’ll work closely with a dedicated team and engage families to keep everyone connected to the program.

Ideal candidates bring at least 6 months of experience with young children, a warm, nurturing presence, and a willingness to participate in ongoing staff trainings and development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ months experience working with young children in a center-based setting.
  • A warm, nurturing presence and genuine love for working with young children and families.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Actively supervise and engage with children to ensure their safety, well-being, and joy throughout each day.
  • Support the delivery of curriculum and daily routines under the direction of the Head and Assistant Teacher.
  • Use positive guidance strategies that help children feel secure and ready to learn.
  • Build genuine connections with children, families, and teammates.
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, welcoming classroom environment.
  • Assist with family engagement activities and help families feel connected to the program.
  • Support documentation and file maintenance in accordance with program guidelines.
  • Participate in staff trainings and agency events.
