Job Title: Teacher/Floater

Location: The Goddard School San Antonio

Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Teacher/Floater to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment. This role involves providing support to various classrooms, covering classes as needed, and ensuring that students receive consistent and high-quality instruction, regardless of their assigned teacher's availability.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in developing and implementing appropriate lesson plans and instructional strategies that meet the diverse needs of students.
• Float between classrooms as needed, covering for teachers who are absent, on planning time, or require additional support.
• Support students in various subject areas, helping them understand concepts and encouraging their academic growth.
• Maintain an orderly and safe classroom environment, ensuring that students follow school rules and procedures.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to assess student progress and participate in team meetings and professional development sessions.
• Provide individualized attention and support to students with different learning needs.
• Facilitate small group activities and assist with classroom management.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to create a supportive and inclusive school community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
• Associates Degree in Education or related field
• CDA (Child Development Associates)
• Valid teaching certification or license (where applicable).
• Previous experience in a classroom setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to varying classroom environments and student needs.
• A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and learning.
