The Goddard School in Midlothian is seeking a flexible, dependable Floater Teacher for part-time, consistent afternoon hours. Floater Teachers support our classrooms by giving scheduled teachers breaks and covering end-of-day shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Experience with or interest in working with young children preferred.
• Willingness to float to various age groups throughout the day.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Step into classrooms as needed to provide support to lead and assistant teachers.
• Help supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities across various classrooms (infants through Pre-K).
• Ensure classroom safety, cleanliness, and organization during transitions and closings.
• Build positive, nurturing relationships with children, staff, and families.
• Follow school policies and licensing regulations.
