Job summary

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Vision Support Teacher to join the Office of Early Childhood Services. This itinerant position provides services to children in Early Childhood programs across Montgomery County and requires travel among four regional areas.

The role requires PA certification in Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), preferably with UEB training. Salary is based on degree level on the MC IU salary schedule, with Bachelor's and Master's placements outlined in

Job description

A vacancy exists for a Vision Support Teacher to work within the Office of Early Childhood Services at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit. This position is an Itinerant position that will provide services to children in Early Childhood programs throughout Montgomery County.

• Prefer Unified English Braille trained (UEB)
• Experience with students with vision support needs
• Current child abuse, PA Criminal and FBI Fingerprint clearance (dated within one year of hire)

Location

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and services children throughout Montgomery County, PA. Our Early Intervention Program is split along school district lines into four (4) regions within Montgomery County. This position requires travel throughout one of the four regions. Position location will be determined during the interview process. Work Schedule

Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 12 months (194 days/year)

Salary

Bachelor's: $56,694/year

Master's: $68,008/year

• Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.
