Job summary

Bay Cove Human Services in Greater Boston seeks an energetic child care contributor to lead developmental play groups for infants and toddlers. You will plan curriculum and activities, prepare materials for each group, and assist with set up before group sessions to foster a supportive, engaging learning environment.

You will maintain arts and crafts supplies, manage cleanup after activities, and help maintain the classroom space and basic safety practices, including cleaning routines with daily

Responsibilities

• Lead developmental play groups as assigned.
• Plan curriculum and activities.
• Prepare materials for group and assist with setup before group.
• Assist with cleanup following group.
• Maintain arts/crafts supplies for groups.
• Prepare daily bleach/water solutions and place in kitchen, bathrooms and classrooms.
• Maintain classroom toys.
• Maintain first floor physical space.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements for the position

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a culturally diverse population of clients, other care providers, family, and community members. Ability to work collaboratively as a member of multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to be flexible, open and responsive to direction

Physical Requirements

• Ability to go up and down stairs

Other Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old. Minimum of one year previous work experience with infants and toddlers preferred.
