Job summary

New London Public Schools’ New London Adult & Continuing Education program seeks a dedicated teacher to advance adult learning in ESOL, CDP, or GED/ABE. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lessons, assessing progress, and supporting adult students toward citizenship and workplace readiness.

Prior adult-learner teaching experience is preferred; bilingual Spanish or Haitian Creole abilities are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• State certification requirements for the teaching area: ESOL, CDP, or GED/ABE.
• At least three (3) years of teaching experience.
• Prior experiences working in an environment with adult learners.

Salary$35/hourly

Employment Terms: Part-Time, As-needed

Preferred Requirements:

Bilingual proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole highly desirable.
