Job summary

Council On Rural Service Programs Inc. seeks a New Starting Wage Teacher to join our Head Start program as a full-time/part-year position in the preschool classroom.

You will collaborate with the Early Childhood Service Coordinator, Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families to plan and implement activities that prepare children for kindergarten and beyond. The role emphasizes safety, development, and active family engagement within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a CDA or equivalent (or enrolled in CDA program and complete within two years).
• Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Head Start educational activities for preschool children.
• Collaborate with the Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families to support development.
• Ensure safety and well-being of children during all activities.
• Participate in home visits, parent/teacher conferences as needed.

Education

New Starting WageTeacher - Full Time/Part-YearJob Location:Position Type: Hourly$15.44 - $22.09 Hourly. Wages are based on education; a minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required. CORS pays for educational advancement for motivated individuals with a heart for service.Description: Collaborate with the Early Childhood Service Coordinator, Head Teacher, Family Advocate, and families, to plan and implement the Head Start educational program for preschool children to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.
