Tucson Unified School District seeks a Math Intervention Specialist at Valencia Middle School in the Irvington & Camino De Oeste area. This 1.0 FTE position is 7.5 hours per day on a 9.5-month calendar.
The role involves accelerating math skills, diagnosing strengths/weaknesses, and designing targeted interventions in collaboration with teachers. Requires AZ certification and IVP clearance; immunization proof and a bilingual endorsement are preferred.
Contributes to the acceleration of students in mathematics. Works with students to improve specific mathematical skills. Consults with classroom teachers to design and plan interventions. Conducts assessments to identify students eligible for intervention services. Diagnoses math strengths and weaknesses and matches these skills with appropriate techniques and materials to promote interest in math concepts.

FTE: 1.0 — 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 month
Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
