Sylvania in Tucson is seeking a dedicated RTI teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role focuses on enhancing the academic performance of students through targeted interventions. The ideal candidate will hold an Arizona Secondary Certificate and have a strong track record in addressing the educational needs of diverse student populations.
The position requires collaboration with classroom teachers and emphasizes the identification of students eligible for intervention services. Bilingual candidates, especially in Spanish, are preferred to support all learners.
An RTI teacher contributes to the academic success of targeted students. The teacher works extensively to help improve skills, conducts assessments to identify students eligible for intervention services, diagnoses and monitors strengths and weaknesses, matches skills with evidence-based instructional strategies, techniques and resources, teaches small groups of striving students, models evidence-based instructional strategies and collaborates frequently with classroom teachers, and serves as an integral part of a problem‑solving team at the building level.
Effective: 2026‑2027 school year
Location: Multiple Locations – District‑Wide
FTE: Varies. Typical Teacher FTE 1.0, 7.5 hours per day
Work Calendar: 9.5 months – 207 days, (212 days for new to district teachers)
