Job summary

Mercy is seeking an early childhood educator responsible for the development, implementation and carry through of age-appropriate curriculum utilizing Project Construct Indicators, Developmentally Appropriate Practice and Accreditation Standards. Demonstrates the ability to understand each child's individual needs as well as the group.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensure: Must be registered with the State Family Care Safety Registry within 15 days of hire.
• Preferred Experience: 1 year child care experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate positive and respectful interaction with children.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum using Project Construct Indicators and Developmentally Appropriate Practice.
• Coordinate staff/child interactions to support learning and safety.
• Provide a nurturing, safe environment and adapt to individual learning styles.

Responsible for the supervision and management of assigned classroom while providing a safe and nurturing environment. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our Mission, Values, and Mercy Service Standards.
