The Teacher‑Floater position at the South Shore YMCA Early Learning Centers is a part‑time position requiring a Monday through Friday schedule.
Reports to: Director Early Learning Center
Responsibilities include planning, execution, and overall operation of a high‑quality Early Learning classroom. You will promote YMCA core values and encourage lifelong learning, provide community leadership for family/child development, collaborate with staff, demonstrate high‑quality member service to program participants, families, members, and volunteers, and ensure member involvement, service and retention.
Supervise program participants, teacher assistants, and volunteers in accordance with the organization’s policies, EEC regulations, applicable laws and NAEYC criteria. Plans, assigns, and directs staff and volunteer work. Monitor and communicate with supervisor all staff related EEC, NAEYC, and South Shore YMCA requirements.
Build relationships with families and members, respond to inquiries, solve problems, create a supportive community environment, assist in recruiting and engaging new families, and connect families to the YMCA’s cause.
