Job summary

Midway Elementary School in Washington is seeking a 1st Grade Teacher to join our Dual Language program for the 2026-2027 school year. The teacher will be responsible for delivering instruction in English and contributing to the district's instructional goals.

The ideal candidate must hold a Washington State teaching certificate with a relevant endorsement and pass background checks and all required certifications. This role is a certificated contract position with benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Current Washington State Teacher's certificate with appropriate subject area endorsement(s).
  • Criminal background clearance and all certificates, licenses, endorsements, permits, and vaccines as required for this position by state and local authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Teach 1st Grade in a Dual Language partnership as part of Midway Elementary School.
  • Contribute to district goals and education plan for the 2026-2027 school year.

Midway Elementary School is seeking a 1st Grade Teacher to join our team of educators for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year! The individual in this position will be teaching on the English side of a Dual Language partnership.

SUMMARY: Teachers help students learn skills and develop attitudes and appreciations which will lead them toward the fulfillment of the District's goals of education.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Current Washington State Teacher's certificate with appropriate subject area endorsement(s).
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Criminal background clearance and all certificates, licenses, endorsements, permits, and vaccines (absent exemption) as required for this position by state and local authorities.
