Job summary

Greater Philadelphia YMCA is seeking a full-time childcare teacher to nurture young minds in a caring, community-focused environment.

You will design age-appropriate curricula, supervise children, and support families while adhering to YMCA and state guidelines. The role emphasizes safe, engaging learning, collaboration with a strong team, and ongoing growth within a nonprofit community hub in Media, PA.

Qualifications

• Proof of degree from an accredited college or university in education or human services related field as defined by the appropriate state licensing agency.
• 2+ years (2500 Hours) childcare experience

Responsibilities

• Finding new and engaging ways to help kids learn.
• Being patient and kind with our parents.
• Being a role model by making a positive, lasting difference in the lives of children and their families.
• Cultivating a sensitive, patient early learning environment for both children and families.
• Planning and implementing dynamic curricula to ensure fun, child-centered, and age-appropriate lessons are offered.
• Supervising each child in your care by being able to identify, SEE, HEAR, DIRECT and ASSIST, always ensuring a safe environment.
• Upholding all YMCA, State, and Quality Rating Systems policies and guidelines for overall commitment to quality in childcare.
• Maintaining a healthy environment through light cleaning and supporting personal care routines of the children.

What is needed for this job
