Job summary

ILCAO is seeking an Early Head Start Center-Based Teacher to create a nurturing classroom for infants and toddlers (0–3). The role emphasizes developmentally appropriate activities, social-emotional growth, and school readiness in alignment with program goals and standards.

The teacher oversees classroom operations, maintains records, and ensures supervision. Requires an Associate's in Early Childhood Education (Bachelor's/Master's preferred) and experience with young children, plus strong data

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; Bachelor's or Master's preferred.
• Experience working with children under the age of 5.
• Strong computer skills and data management familiarity.
• Ability to conduct home visits with reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Job Overview

The Early Head Start Center-Based Teacher creates a nurturing and stimulating educational environment for infants and toddlers (ages 0–3). This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote social-emotional growth and support school readiness, all in alignment with Early Head Start Performance Standards and program goals. The teacher is responsible for the overall classroom operation, including effective classroom management, accurate recordkeeping, and maintaining active supervision of children.
