Job summary

IRONTON AND LAWRENCE COUNTY AREA COMMUNITY is seeking a Cook to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for children in Head Start programs while complying with dietary guidelines and safety standards.

The role requires a High School Diploma and experience in meal planning, cooking, and placing food orders, with preference for Level II SERV Safe Certification. You will work in a busy kitchen that supports education and health services.

Job Overview

The Cook is responsible for planning, preparing, and serving nutritious meals and snacks to children, adhering to dietary guidelines, program requirements, and food safety regulations. This role ensures meals that support children's developmental and health needs while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment. The Cook must maintain compliance with Federal Head Start Performance Standards, Ohio Department of Job and Family Services licensing requirements, and local/state rules and regulations.
