Job summary

Ironton-Lawrence County Community Action Organization (ILCAO) seeks an Early Head Start Center-Based Teacher to provide developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers (0–3). You will align with program goals and perform classroom operations, supervision, and accurate recordkeeping.

The role requires an Associate's Degree (Bachelor's or Master’s preferred) in Early Childhood Education or related field, plus experience with young children and strong data/reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Education required or preferred in Early Childhood Education.
• Experience with children under 5 years old.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with data reporting systems.
• Ability to conduct home visits and have a valid driver's license.

Job Overview

The Early Head Start Center-Based Teacher creates a nurturing and stimulating educational environment for infants and toddlers (ages 0–3). This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that promote social-emotional growth and support school readiness, all in alignment with Early Head Start Performance Standards and program goals. The teacher is responsible for the overall classroom operation, including effective classroom management, accurate recordkeeping, and maintaining active supervision of children.
