Job summary

West Ohio Community Action Partnership (WOCAP) is seeking qualified candidates for a Teacher/FSW at our Central F location. The position is full-time for 40 hours per week across 9 months of the year, with responsibilities spanning curriculum delivery, planning, family coordination, and community linkages.

Key duties include developing child development curricula, conducting home visits and conferences, and ensuring health-related services through family support.

Qualifications

  • Must pass drug screen and background check.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • AA degree in Early Childhood Education/Development OR valid CDA AND enrollment in program to complete a higher degree within three years.
  • Certifications in Child Abuse & Neglect, CPR, and First Aid must be maintained.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license and vehicle during working hours is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and educate each Child Development Services student to their fullest potential using the latest curriculum.
  • Prepare weekly lesson plans and daily planning.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, identify, enroll and provide individual services per standards and policies.
  • Ensure children receive health-related services by connecting families to resources and providing follow-up support.
  • Delegate and guide activities of the co-teacher in the classroom.
  • Complete at least two home visits and two parent/teacher conferences per year.

Education

AA degree in Early Childhood Education/Development

Job description

WOCAP, a local non-profit organization, is seeking qualified candidates fora Teacher/FSW at our Central F location. This position is a 40 per week,9 months a year.

Responsibilities include:
  • 1. Developing and educating each Child Development Services child to their fullestpotential by utilizing the latest curriculum.
  • 2. Making weekly lesson plans and daily planning.
  • 3. Assist the children & families by ensuring coordination, facilitation, identification,enrollment, and provision of individual services in accordance with the ChildDevelopment Services Performance Standards, licensing regulations, and WOCAPpolicies & procedures.
  • 4. Ensure that all children receive required health related services by connecting them toresources, providing follow-up support services, and identifying and removing barriers toneeded services. This includes expectations to transport families to appointments,reporting difficulties to supervisors in writing, and ensuring follow-up within 30 days.
  • 5. Delegating and guiding activities of the co-teacher in the classroom.
  • 6. Completing at least two home visits and two parent/teacher conferences per year.
Requirements include
  • MUST be able to pass drug screen and background check.
  • Candidate must possess High School diploma or GED.
  • MUST have an AA degree in EarlyChildhood Education/Development OR valid CDA AND be enrolled in a program that grants a qualifying associate or higher degree in Early Childhood Education/related field,and the required coursework and experience, to be completed within three years.
  • Certifications in Child Abuse & Neglect, Communicable Disease, CPR, and First Aidmust be maintained.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and privately-owned vehicle duringworking hours a plus. Ability to check electronic mail, entering data into program-specificsoftware for required reports, and Internet skills required.
