Job summary

West Ohio Community Action Partnership seeks a Co-Teacher/FSW Float at our ELC location in Ohio. The role is 40 hours per week across 9 months, supporting classroom activities and family coordination.

Floats move between classrooms and may travel to another site to perform the same duties. Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and agree to enroll in the CDA program within two years. CPR/First Aid and Child Abuse & Neglect certifications must be maintained.

Qualifications

• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must enroll in CDA program to obtain CDA certification within two years.
• CDA certification in Child Abuse & Neglect, Communicable Disease, CPR and First Aid must be maintained.
• Valid Ohio driver's license and vehicle insurance preferred during working hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher in developing and educating each Child Development Services child to their fullest potential.
• Assist the Teacher with weekly lesson plans and daily planning.
• Assist children and families by coordinating, facilitating, identifying, enrolling, and providing services per performance standards and WOCAP policies.
• Ensure children receive health-related services by connecting them to resources and following up within 30 days.
• Float positions require moving between classrooms and traveling to another site to perform the same responsibilities.

Job description

WOCAP, a local non-profit organization, is seeking qualified candidates for a Co-Teacher/FSW Float based at our ELC location. This position is 40 hours per week, 9 months a year.

Responsibilities include:

• 1. Assist the Teacher in developing and educating each Child Development Services child to theirfullest potential by utilizing the latest curriculum.
• 2. Assist the Teacher with weekly lesson plans and daily planning.
• 3. Assist the children & families by ensuring coordination, facilitation, identification, enrollment, andprovision of individual services in accordance with Child Development Services PerformanceStandards, licensing regulations, and WOCAP policies & procedures.
• 4. Ensure that all children receive required health related services by connecting them to resources, providing follow-up support services and identifying and removing barriers to needed services. Thisincludes expectations to transport families to appointments, report difficulties to supervisors inwriting, and ensuring follow-up within 30 days.
• 5. Float positions require moving between classrooms as needed per day, including traveling toanother site to perform the same responsibilities as needed.

Requirements include:

• MUST be able to pass drug screen and background check.
• Candidate must possess High School Diploma or GED.
• Current possession of CDA a plus.
• Must be willing to enroll in CDA program to obtain CDA certification within two years.
• Certifications in Child Abuse & Neglect, Communicable Disease, CPR, and First Aid must be maintained.

Valid Ohio driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and privately-owned vehicle during working hours preferred. Ability to check electronic mail, entering data into program-specific software for required reports, and Internet skills required.
