Job summary

Broome-Tioga BOCES is seeking a Teacher Center Director to lead and coordinate the Teacher Center policy board, collaborate with the district, and support teachers during after-hours operations.

The role requires strong grant management, budget development, and delivery of professional development aligned with NYS initiatives. Travel to state and regional meetings is required.

Excellent communication and facilitation skills are essential to organize reports and ensure program compliance.

Qualifications

• NYS Teacher Certification required.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the Teacher Center Policy Board comprised of local educators
• Collaborate with Broome-Tioga BOCES to implement the mission of the Teacher Center
• Support teachers using the Center's workroom during hours of operation (Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM)
• Coordinate and/or provide professional development for educators that is aligned with the approved grant and aligned with current NYS initiatives
• Coordinate submission of annual grant, reports, and budgets required by SED
• Manage the Teacher Center budget and prepare necessary reports for SED
• Participate in state Teacher Center Director Meetings and in regional Southern Tier Teacher Center Network meetings
