Job summary

The Children’s Guild is seeking a Special Education Teacher to support students with special needs through individualized instruction and IEP-based planning. You will work in a collaborative school setting with teachers, therapists, and administrators to create meaningful learning experiences.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s or higher in education, at least 1 year of related experience, strong communication and teamwork skills, and a compassionate approach to helping children succeed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in education, with preference for special education experience.
• At least 1 year of experience working with students with special needs or autism.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, empathy and a passion for helping children succeed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement IEPs based on student data using differentiated instruction.
• Participate in meetings, PLCs, and supervision to support student outcomes.
• Apply behavior management strategies and collaborate with the school team.
• Maintain regular communication with families and caregivers.
