Job summary

The Children’s Guild in Baltimore is seeking a compassionate Classroom Aide to support students with autism and other special needs. You will provide individualized, one-on-one attention to help each child thrive in the classroom and participate in daily activities.

Join a mission-driven team of educators, therapists, and staff who collaborate to implement IEP goals, monitor progress, and engage families in school-based initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (experience in special education preferred).
• At least 1 year of experience working with students with special needs or autism.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping children succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to students in kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Engage in family outreach and school-based activities.
• Participate in professional development and training.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to implement IEP goals.
• Assist in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
