Job summary

The Children\'s Guild, Inc. in Baltimore, MD seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher.

You will develop and implement IEPs, provide one-on-one support to students with special needs, and use differentiated instruction to help each child succeed. You will collaborate with teachers, therapists, and administrators, participate in meetings, and communicate regularly with families, while benefitting from a student-friendly schedule and meaningful mission-driven work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with students with special needs or autism.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and passion for helping children succeed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement IEPs based on student data and differentiated strategies.
  • Participate in meetings, PLCs, and ongoing supervision to emphasize collaboration.
  • Apply behavior management skills with PBIS and restorative practices.
