Apple Montessori Schools in Hillsborough, NJ is seeking a Teacher Assistant for Toddler and Preschool roles. The candidate will support Lead Teachers, help with lesson plans, and foster a nurturing Montessori environment.

The role runs Monday–Friday, with 7:00am–1:00pm or 12:30pm–6:30pm shifts, focusing on child independence and curiosity. The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, CPR/First Aid or willingness to obtain, and a genuine love of children.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Teacher Assistant Toddler and Preschool

Location: Hillsborough, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 1:00pm OR 12:30pm to 6:30pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you'll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication
