Job summary

Tri-County Community Action Agency in Johnston, RI is seeking a Teacher Assistant for the Extended-Day Program in North Providence. This full-time Admin Support Worker role runs 11:15am–5:45pm, 30 hours per week, year round, and supports the Lead Teacher with curriculum, observations, and family engagement in a safe learning environment.

Qualifications include an AA in Early Childhood Education or a CDA with a preschool focus; experience with ages 3-5 is preferred.

Specific Responsibilities :

Assisting the Lead Teacher with classroom curriculum, child observations, and family engagement while maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment. Applicants will work cooperatively with other Extended-day staff to perform their duties. Applicants must be skilled in building positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Qualifications : AA in Early Childhood Education or a CDA with a focus in preschool. Experience working with children age 3-5 years preferred.

Special Qualifications : Must be organized, have basic computer knowledge and skill, work well in a team environment, have effective professional communication skills
