Job summary

Grand Haven Area Public Schools at Lake Hills Elementary School is seeking a Teacher Assistant - Math Interventionist to support students in math interventions and assist teachers in reinforcing math skills.

The role requires a high school diploma with 60 college hours or an Associate degree, or passing a competency test; teacher certification is preferred. The position offers a part-time schedule and is paid hourly based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma and 60 hours of college/university, or an Associate Degree or higher, or pass a competency test (Michigan Test for Teacher Certification - Basic Skills Test, or ETS ParaPro Test). Preference will be given to individuals with teacher certification.
• Must possess experience with math interventions.
• Demonstrated ability to work positively with at-risk math students.
• Self-directed with good organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both a team and individual tutoring situation.

Pay: $17.19 - $19.06 / hour (Step placement dependent upon education and experience)

Schedule: M-F / 5.5 hours daily / 27.5 hours weekly

Applicants for this position must possess the following criteria:
