Job summary

Grand Haven Area Public Schools is seeking a Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional to support students at Grand Haven High School. The position is part-time, with a 2.75-hour daily schedule (Mon-Fri, 12:00pm-2:45pm) and a starting wage of $16.60 per hour, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will assist Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2, demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills, and work well with both teams and individual tutoring sessions.

Qualifications

• Must possess at least 60 hours of college coursework; or an Associates Degree; or pass a competency test (Michigan Test for Teacher Certification Basic Skills Test or ETS-ParaPro Test).
• Ability to support Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2.
• Demonstrated ability to work positively with at-risk students.
• Self-directed with good organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in both a team and individual tutoring situation.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday / 12:00pm - 2:45pm (2.75 hours daily / 13.75 hours weekly).

Applicants for this position must meet the following criteria:
