Applicants for this position must possess the following criteria:

• Must possess a high school diploma and have 60 hours of study at a college/university; or an Associates Degree or higher; or pass a competency test (Michigan Test for Teacher Certification - Basic Skills Test, or ETS ParaPro Test - (Math, Reading, and Writing tests). Preference will be given to an individual with teacher certification.
• Must possess experience withmath and reading interventions.
• The demonstrated ability to work positively with "at-risk" math students.
• Self-directed with good organizational and communication skills.
• A demonstrated ability to work effectively in both a team and individual tutoring situation.
