Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Western Territory is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support our Children's programs. The role involves assisting in instructional and recreational activities and providing child care for infants through school-aged children, under supervision.

Candidates should have a California Driver's license, a valid Assistant Teacher Child Development Permit, and at least one year of related experience. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Must be in good health and physically, mentally and occupationally capable of performing assigned tasks in the classroom.
• Hold and maintain a valid California Driver's license.
• Hold and maintain an Assistant Teacher Child Development Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
• At least one year experience in related field.
• High school diploma, equivalency degree or demonstration of equivalent skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instructional and recreational activities under direct supervision of the Site Supervisor of Children's programs.
• Provide child care services to infants, toddlers, preschool and school-aged children.
