The Teacher Assistant is responsible for assisting a classroom lead teacher with the general supervision and management of children. The role requires knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and support in ensuring activities and curriculum are followed as per the Director's guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during all activities
• Counsel children on social, academic, or adjustment issues
• Develop and prepare instructional aids/materials for classroom activities
• Maintain the classroom's appearance, cleanliness, and safety
• Assist children during meal times and clean-up
• Complete academy and classroom paperwork, such as notes, accident reports, and attendance records
• Participate in staff meetings, academy events, and parent meetings as needed
• Support in preparing and implementing lesson plans and schedules
• Ensure classroom and outdoor equipment are in good condition and properly used
• Perform other duties as assigned
