Radford University seeks a Teacher Apprenticeship Coordinator to lead the Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program, coordinating with university and school partners to ensure compliant implementation and successful apprentice outcomes.

Responsibilities include data management, advisement, cohort learning, and mentor‑teacher development, with strong emphasis on collaboration, reporting, and program sustainability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or related field by start date.
• Teaching endorsement in elementary and/or special education.
• At least 3 years of public-school teaching experience.
• Ability to teach courses within the inclusive elementary program.
• Experience supporting teacher candidates in preK-6 field settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all operational aspects of the Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program, ensuring compliance with VDOE, Virginia Works, and DOLI requirements.
• Maintain accurate records related to apprentice enrollment, employment status, mentor assignments, hours, and milestones.
• Align apprenticeship requirements with university coursework, licensure expectations, and school practices.
• Collect and maintain program data on recruitment, retention, completion, licensure outcomes, and employment.
• Assist with grant reports, internal summaries, and sustainability documentation.
• Review transcripts to verify eligibility and required coursework.
• Advise prospective apprentices on steps and coursework for entry into future cohorts.
• Plan informational sessions and provide group and individual advising.
• Serve as primary contact for apprentices, guiding program requirements and timelines.
• Monitor progress across coursework, field experiences, and on‑the‑job learning.
• Facilitate cohort-based learning, communication, and professional growth experiences.
