Job summary

Tri-County Child and Family in Waterloo, IA seeks a Head Start Teacher to lay a solid foundation for young children and support their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development while ensuring safety and welfare.

The role is 40 hours/week, 12 months, Monday-Friday, with a hiring bonus, 401(k), PTO from day one, student loan forgiveness for qualifying employers, professional development, and an Employee Assistance Program.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field.
• Prefer Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Prefer Iowa State Licensure (may be required for some positions).
• No prior experience is necessary; experience in Head Start or school settings preferred.
• Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite and database systems.
• Valid Iowa Driver's License and ability to be insured under agency policy.
• Must be cleared to work in a childcare setting by the Iowa DHS.
