Tri-County Child and Family in Waterloo, IA is seeking a role focused on creating a safe, nurturing environment for preschool children and their families. You will support activities aligned with Head Start standards and school readiness goals.

Role Overview:

Responsible for a safe, nurturing, and inviting environment for children and their families. Deliver services as outlined in Head Start Performance Standards and other applicable regulatory standards. Assist in the instruction to preschool-aged children in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. Meet agency-determined school readiness goals through the implementation of established curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED.
  • Required to obtain, with the assistance of the agency, post-hire a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.
• No prior experience is necessary.
  • Prefer experience in a Head Start, daycare, or school setting.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Suite & database systems
• Must be cleared & allowed to work in a childcare setting by the Iowa Department of Human Services
