Job summary

Carinity Education - Gladstone is seeking a compassionate Teacher to join a mission-driven Christian school community. Working with small classes, you will apply trauma-informed approaches to create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Deliver engaging lessons, build strong relationships with students and families, and support them to reach personal and academic goals. Current QLD Teacher Registration is required with mutual recognition.

Qualifications

• Current QLD Teacher Registration or ability to obtain mutual recognition.
• Demonstrated experience in providing support and education for marginalised young people and those suffering as a result of Adverse Childhood Experiences.
• Suitability for Working with Children card (Blue Card).
• Experience and/or knowledge in trauma informed practices in an educational setting or willingness to learn.
• Experience in Mathematics and/or HPE teaching is highly regarded.

You are passionate about supporting youth and their families. You bring empathy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with students, staff, and external professionals. You are organised, adaptable, and proactive in fostering a safe, supportive, and values-driven school environment.
