Job summary

Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA) is seeking an experienced arts professional and people leader to serve as TCA Program Supervisor. This role translates TCA’s programming vision into engaging, well-managed experiences for the community.

The Program Supervisor oversees planning and delivery of a diverse range of programming, including performances, festivals, exhibitions, education initiatives and partnerships, while leading staff and partners to deliver on TCA’s mission.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement programming strategies for TCA, including national and local performances, festivals, community events, gallery exhibitions, and education initiatives.
  • Negotiate and administer agreements with artists, rental clients, and partners; assists with business cases for proposed programs.
  • Oversee the planning, development, and delivery of TCA events.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure successful programming across the facility and grounds.
  • Collaborate with technical production, facilities, and operations staff to coordinate program delivery.
  • Supervise assigned personnel, contractors, and volunteers; including assigning and reviewing work, providing guidance, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Work in partnership with the TCA Manager and other supervisors to align programming with TCA’s mission and community engagement goals.
  • Participate in budget preparation and monitor expenditures for assigned programs.
  • Participate in outreach, audience development, and marketing efforts.
  • May perform responsibilities of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Job description

Tempe Center for the Arts (TCA) is seeking an experienced arts professional and people leader to serve as TCA Program Supervisor. Working under the direction of the TCA Manager, this position helps translate TCA’s programming vision into engaging, well-managed programs and experiences for the community.

The Program Supervisor oversees the planning and delivery of a diverse range of programming, including national, international and local performances, festivals, community events, gallery exhibitions, education initiatives and partnerships.

We are looking for a collaborative, organized and thoughtful leader who brings strong arts programming or management experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and a demonstrated ability to lead and develop people.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Coordinates and implements programming strategies for TCA, including national and local performances, festivals, community events, gallery exhibitions, and education initiatives.

Annual Salary Range: $82,200- $121,200

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. Requires periodic evenings, weekends, and holidays based on programming schedules.
