Job summary

The Boring Company in Nashville, TN is seeking a Tunnel Superintendent to lead day-to-day tunneling operations on a hard rock Main Beam TBM project. You will drive production while maintaining safety, equipment uptime, and crew coordination across all shifts.

You will manage crews, coordinate with TBM operators, mechanics, electricians, miners, and EHS to ensure safe, efficient progress and meet project targets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tunneling or heavy civil construction experience.
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or superintendent role.
• Hands-on knowledge of Main Beam TBM operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead tunneling crews in daily excavation activities and support operations.
• Coordinate with TBM operators, mechanics, electricians, miners, and EHS.
• Own the daily production schedule and meet KPIs (penetration rate, downtime, shifts).
• Monitor machine conditions and manage downtime with maintenance.
• Enforce safety policies and support incident response.
• Track progress, logs, and field reports for leadership.
• Train new crew members and uphold quality and performance standards.
