The Boring Company in Nashville, TN is seeking a Construction Manager to lead field operations on cross passages, access ramps, and related heavy civil infrastructure. You will oversee daily construction activities, coordinate crews, and ensure safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in heavy civil construction, strong leadership and reading drawings, and experience with earthwork, utilities, and tunnel-related work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction management experience on heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Proven experience managing field operations involving excavation, structural concrete, earthwork, utilities, retaining structures, bridges, highways, underground construction or oil and gas.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field coordination.
• Experience leading large construction crews and subcontractors in demanding project environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Ability to work extended hours as needed

Responsibilities

• Manage all field construction activities related to cross passages, access ramps, structural concrete, excavation, and underground support systems.
• Lead daily planning and execution of construction work while ensuring compliance with project schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and field crews to optimize productivity and minimize delays.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to maintain schedule and budget objectives.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure proper documentation of construction activities.
• Review and resolve field issues, RFIs, and constructability challenges with engineering and project leadership.
• Support project reporting by providing updates on production, manpower, schedule, and project performance.
