Job summary

Human Services Administration Organization seeks a Transition Age Youth Forensic Specialist to support 16–24 year olds through assessment, court advocacy, and care coordination from arrest to community reintegration.

The role requires collaboration with TAY providers and treatment teams, strong documentation, and adherence to HIPAA policies. Hybrid work and a starting salary of $51,000/year are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, criminal justice, political science, sociology, social welfare, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of direct client experience in behavioral health, Juvenile Justice or Criminal Justice System, or human services setting.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to navigate multiple electronic health records and MS Office products.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals to determine intercept point (court, jail, community).
• Conduct outreach and maintain monthly in-person contact with clients.
• Engage clients in Allegheny County Jail and community settings.
• Complete ANSA assessments within required timeframe; develop Court Service Plans with multidisciplinary teams.
• Attend client-involved court hearings and present Court Service Plans and progress.
• Link clients to mental health and drug & alcohol services; assist with accessing employment, education, housing, benefits, etc.
