Job summary

The State of Oklahoma seeks a Customer Assistance Representative I in Pontotoc County to provide services to taxpayers, respond to inquiries, and guide customers through publication requests and forms. You will analyze information, advise on procedures, and coordinate with divisions to resolve issues, handling walk-in and phone inquiries as needed.

Minimum one year of clerical or customer service experience is required; training is provided to develop knowledge of laws, policies, and agency

Qualifications

• Knowledge of office practices and procedures, business arithmetic, spelling, punctuation and grammar.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; read, comprehend and apply policies and procedures; communicate effectively, orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze requests for information on laws, policies and procedures; respond to inquiries and provide information.
• Coordinate with divisions to clarify policies, determine account statuses, and route materials to appropriate units.
• Review and edit forms to verify data and determine reporting requirements.
