Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualification - One year of college or business school preferred or equivalent work experience in a business-related curriculum.
• Preferred - One year of call center or customer service experience or in which clerical work was a major duty.
• Familiarity with tax laws or accounting/bookkeeping or banking is a plus, but not required.
• Strong computer skills and typing proficiency required.
• Must be able to type at least 30 words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Handles customer inquiries requiring knowledge of tax laws and departmental policies.
• Conducts analysis of taxpayer accounts and provides accurate information.
• Reviews original and amended returns for compliance with tax laws.
• Calculates taxes, penalties, interest, and fees due.
• Educates taxpayers or practitioners on LDOR filing and payment applications and policies.
• Corrects records in LDOR's DELTA system and processes returns as needed.
• Completes mandatory training and maintains regular attendance.
• Other duties as assigned.
