Job summary

Vaco in the United States is seeking a Tax Associate to assist customers with tax preparation, filing, and related questions across phone, video, and chat channels. You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients confidently complete their tax returns while delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities include reviewing returns for accuracy, explaining deductions and credits, leveraging TurboTax products, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of paid Tax Preparation experience.
• 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns prepared.
• Active PTIN required.
• Knowledge of federal individual income tax returns.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Comfortable using multiple technology platforms simultaneously.
• Must be available to work during peak (April 10-15).

Responsibilities

• Provide Customer Tax Support: Assist customers with tax preparation and filing via phone, video, and chat.
• Maintain Quality and Productivity: Meet quality benchmarks for tNPS and SQS, productivity, utilization, and customer satisfaction.
• Review Tax Returns: Check customer returns for accuracy and identify tax-saving opportunities.
• Deliver Product Expertise: Guide customers through TurboTax features and resolve issues.
• Educate and Support Customers: Explain tax concepts clearly and professionally.
• Document Customer Interactions: Record resolutions and case details in required systems.
• Ensure Compliance: Protect confidentiality and follow training and policies.
• Support Peak Season Operations: Maintain schedule adherence and flexibility during peak tax season.
