Job summary

HTB, a CPA firm in New Orleans, is seeking a Tax professional to join our team. You'll prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, fiduciaries, employee benefit plans, nonprofits, corporations, and partnerships, while delivering client-focused service.

You’ll engage in technical research, meet deadlines, build relationships with clients, and contribute to growth through our pathways program and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• Four to six years of related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Active CPA License is a plus; candidates pursuing certification are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Prepares complex individual, fiduciary, employee benefit plans, non-profit, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
• Reviews these returns and ensures compliance with current tax laws.
• Performs supervised technical research to guide tax strategies.
• Meets client deadlines and manages time constraints.
• Develops client relationships through meetings and referrals.
• Mentors staff and interns; provides formal training.
• Supports tax administration projects and participates in local professional organizations.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting

Four to six years of related experience and/or training
