HTB is seeking a tax professional to join our Tax Team. You’ll work on preparing returns, reviewing filings, and guiding at more experienced stages, while building real relationships with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a four-year college or university.
• 2–4 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Active CPA License is a plus; candidates pursuing certification are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Performs diversified accounting and tax assignments under the direction of a Senior, Manager and/or Partner.
• Possesses knowledge of tax regulations to answer clients' questions.
• Prepares personal, corporate, partnership, and S-Corp returns of increasing complexity.
• Responds to tax notices and drafts initial letters.
• Performs tax research projects requiring minimal expertise.
• Prepares tax accruals as may be required in preparing corporate tax returns.
• Begins to demonstrate competency in technical skills, work quality, and firm standards.
• Meets time constraints and client deadlines.
• Participates in tax planning and projections.
• Becomes proficient in using the firm's software programs and prepares other reports, projects, and duties as assigned.
• Begins acquiring the skills necessary to develop quality client relationships and loyalty.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting

2–4 years of related experience

CPA License preferred
