Job summary

LMC, founded in 2010, seeks a Tax Supervisor in New York to lead complex returns, advise clients on tax strategies, and mentor staff in a collaborative, growth‑minded environment.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years' experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field; Masters in Taxation preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with tax preparation software; knowledge of CCH ProSystem or Axcess is a plus.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
• Strong knowledge of government tax laws.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong analytical skills.
• Ability to manage time and meet deadlines; multitask effectively.
• Discretion with confidential information; willingness to work extra hours during tax season.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review and submit tax returns for diverse clients.
• Communicate with clients and tax authorities; advise on tax strategies.
• Audit tax forms for completeness and accuracy.
• Provide future tax planning to clients.
• Analyze client tax data to maximize outcomes.
• Research new tax trends and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with government tax rules.
• Train and mentor tax staff; support team development.
• Manage multiple assignments within engagements.
• Communicate with Managers and Partners on work status and client issues.
