We seek a well-organized Tax Supervisor to deliver high-quality tax work, mentor staff, and lead engagements from planning through completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA license preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in public accounting.
• Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and Tax Law skills.
• Small business experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and laws.
• Ability to analyze financial data accurately.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with client engagements from start to finish (organizing, completing, and finishing tax compliance projects).
• Assist with development of tax planning techniques for clients and addressing client needs.
• Assist with research of tax laws and preparation of tax memorandums on technical issues.
• Begin reviewing compliance projects completed by Associates and Apprentices.
• Assist with supervision of Apprentices during tax season.
• Communicate effectively with internal client service team and client to identify compliance questions.
• Organize and prioritize daily work to meet deadlines and complete work accurately.
• Participate in mentoring, training, recruiting, retention and team-building activities.
• Develop and present internal training and seminars on technical issues.
