Job summary

Edward Jones is seeking an exceptional Lead for our Tax Team to shape and advance tax strategy, compliance, and financial operations. This highly visible role offers technical leadership and direction across complex tax matters, ensuring accuracy, risk management, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate brings CPA or advanced degree, 7+ years in tax or finance, and strong Excel modeling. You’ll partner with Tax, Legal, Treasury, Finance, and Technology to drive impactful initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• CPA certification or advanced degree preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills with complex formulas and financial modeling.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with senior stakeholder interaction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical resource for complex tax and accounting matters.
• Review and oversee calculations, analyses, and reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Partner with Tax, Legal, Treasury, Finance, and Technology teams on strategic initiatives.
• Identify risks, recommend solutions, and support implementation of process improvements.
• Support implementation of new business programs, policies, and operational changes.
• Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability, controls, and stakeholder experience.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and review for Analysts and Senior Analysts.
