Job summary

Plante Moran seeks an intern to support tax teams across varied services. You will work directly with clients, assist with credits and deductions, and learn current tax regulations while building professional relationships.

You'll focus on cost segregation, asset recovery, R&D credits, and related incentives, gaining exposure to multiple service lines and networking opportunities. Growth and mentorship are emphasized from day one.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting; or Master's degree in accounting or tax.
• Academic success (a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0).
• On track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA exam.

Responsibilities

• Focusing on projects related to cost segregation, fixed asset recovery periods, capitalization vs. expense analysis, R&D tax credits, and domestic producer activities deduction.
• Working directly with clients, identify and resolve issues as they emerge.
• Maintaining a current understanding of relevant code, regulation and pronouncements on tax incentives for clients.
• Developing relationships with clients and staff, including involvement in networking and business development activities.
• Assisting clients to ensure proper documentation of credits and deductions in accordance with IRS regulations.
• Deepen knowledge in tax and tax consulting through exposure to both service lines.
