Job summary

Plante Moran invites ambitious accounting students to join as interns, gaining exposure to various tax incentive projects and client-facing experiences. You will work directly with clients to develop business solutions, not just spreadsheets, while advancing toward CPA licensure.

From day one, you’ll be mentored in tax and consulting, with opportunities to network and build client relationships across multiple service lines and offices.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented leader with problem solving, communication, and analytical skills.
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting; or Master’s degree in accounting or tax.
• Academic success with GPA of at least 3.0.
• On track to sit for the CPA exam and obtain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Focusing on projects related to cost segregation, fixed asset recovery periods, capitalization vs. expense analysis, R&D tax credits, and domestic producer activities deduction.
• Working directly with clients, identify and resolve issues as they emerge.
• Maintaining current understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and pronouncements on tax incentives affecting clients.
• Developing relationships with clients and staff, including networking and business development activities.
• Assisting clients to ensure proper documentation of credits and deductions per IRS regulations.
• Deepen knowledge in tax and tax consulting through exposure to service lines.
