Job summary

RSM US LLP in Dallas, TX, seeks a Tax Senior Manager to lead partnership tax services for private equity clients and multi-jurisdictional engagements. You will advise on planning, research, and compliance, and develop staff while expanding client relationships.

Qualified candidates have a CPA or equivalent, 8+ years in corporate federal tax and partnership tax, and strong communication, Excel/Word skills. The role offers growth, mentorship, and a discretionary bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in accounting or business-related field.
• Active CPA license in the state of residence or primary office; EA or Attorney license.
• At least 8 years of corporate federal tax compliance and tax consulting experience.
• Experience in public accounting with at least 8 years focusing on partnership taxation.
• Experience with S-Corps or Partnerships/LLCs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Word skills required.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on a full range of partnership tax services, including planning, research, compliance, allocations, and general transactional activities.
• Assist with new business development, extended service, and tax issue recognition for existing clients.
• Develop, motivate, and train staff level team members.
• Lead and manage the business relationship of complex engagements with a focus on high-value quality tax advice and seek to expand services to clients and develop and sustain strong client relationships.
• Keep up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
• Reviewing research findings and ensure conclusions are consistent with firm policies and professional standards.
• Build relationships across lines of business to ensure excellent client service through an integrated service approach.
• May have people leadership responsibilities.
• Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returns.
• Work on multiple complex issues while communicating in a non-technical manner to facilitate communication between the client and the service team while managing the risk for both the client and the firm.
• Serve as the Tax client service coordinator for appropriate clients.
• Manage corporate client needs with respect to tax services and federal and state tax compliance.
