Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Senior in Core Tax Services to apply tax knowledge, perform research, gather client information for filings, and participate in tax planning. You will help identify risks and prepare accrual workpapers while using tax software to prepare returns for review.

This role may supervise Core Tax Services Associates and review their work, ensuring deadlines are met. Strong communication and analytical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics OR CPA pathway
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
• Two or more years of prior tax experience or public accounting preferred
• CPA/EA/Attorney designation preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure client compliance with authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens
• Manage tax projects by planning the tax process and ensuring quality
• Review returns and provide notes; raise potential tax issues
• Meet internal deadlines to ensure timely delivery
• Identify book-to-tax differences
• Assist with research and apply firm standards for 740 and FIN 48
• Mentor and supervise Core Tax Services Associates
